Virtual Reception

FAQs

Q:How does IPPBX Virtual Receptionist know who the call is for?

A:You are given a ‘forwarding’ number that is unique to you. Any calls received on that line will ‘pop up’ on your screen and the call will be answered in your company name.

Q:Are all my calls answered by IPPBX Virtual Receptionist when I divert them?

A: It’s up to you. Choose to send all calls, or just when your line is busy or unanswered.

Q:If I have a client diverted to IPPBX Virtual Receptionist and a second caller rings, does that caller get a busy tone?

A:No – there is no limit to the number of calls that can be diverted simultaneously.

Q: Do I pay for sales / admin calls?

A: No – we allow an extra 20% on top of your monthly allowance for calls from telemarketers, wrong-number calls and calls that you make to update your PA. On the rare occasion that such calls account for more than 20% of the total number of calls handled in one month, these calls will be charged at the discounted additional call rate.

Q: What happens if my IPPBX Virtual Receptionist is on the phone when one of my calls comes in?

A: Your call is passed to one of her team of three. That person has all your information in front of her prior to answering the call. If she cannot answer the inquiry, the call will be passed back to your IPPBX Virtual Receptionist as soon as she is free.

Q:Can you receive faxes on my behalf?

A: Each fax is charged as a message and forwarded to you by email.

Q:Are there any long term contracts?

A: No – we know you don’t want to be tied into a long term contract. After the one week trial there is a three month minimum contract. Thereafter, we require one month’s notice to close your account from the date of your next invoice.

Q:Does IPPBX Virtual Receptionist keep a log of my past messages?

A: Your IPPBX Virtual Receptionist has a log immediately to hand.
